As a qualified engineer I always had an eye for the beauty in the drawn line, this along with a life long interest in art has led to where I am today.
Until recently I ran my own graphic design company having qualified at the Bournemouth College of Arts 15 years ago. I am now in the fortunate position to run the business at a low level and hence give me the time to concentrate on painting. Having tried all mediums I have returned to my favourite oils, pastels are also a strong preference and I determined to master acrylics. Another area graphite pencil drawing is fast becoming a medium I enjoy verty much it is so versitile.
With a great interest in wildlife, following a visit to the MIWAS exhibition at Marwell Zoo two years ago, it spurred me on to focus at least for the moment on wildlife art.
As a keen photographer he visits suitable locations to build up his library of photos and hopes to do a African Safari within the coming year. I was fortunate enough to have visited Alaska this year look out for a series
of paintings based around that trip.
